ENROLLMENT
A nonrefundable registration fee of $30 for new students or $35 for new family. ($20 for returning students and $25 for returning families) and the first month’s tuition are required for enrollment. Tuition is prorated for those starting after the beginning of the month. A Step In Time reserves the right to cancel a class or combine a class with another appropriate class if there is insufficient enrollment for that class.
TUITION AND PAYMENTS:
Tuition is due the first class of the month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th of the month a statement will be mailed and a $20 late fee added to your account. If tuition becomes 2 months delinquent, the student is dropped from the roll and is subject to removal from class.
There will be a $30 fee for any returned check.
Payments will be first applied toward tuition, then other fees including costumes, recital fee and fees connected to our competition groups. This includes those on the auto-debit plan.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, checks and cash for payments. For your convenience, you may have a credit card on file to be debited monthly for tuition, costume fees and recital fee. If you choose to use the auto payment plan, you will receive a 5% reduction in your tuition cost. If you choose not to participate in the auto-debit program, a valid credit card number will be required to secure your account. We reserve the right to apply any unpaid tuition or fees to that credit card.
If you choose not to provide a credit card number, we require the first and last months tuition payment plus registration fee when enrolling.
There is a separate form for automatic payment with additional details available at the studio.
WITHDRAWALS:
A Student is continually enrolled in a class from month to month unless we receive 15 days prior written notice of their dropping the class. If a student wishes to drop any or all of their classes, written notice must be received 15 days prior or the following month’s tuition will be charged. Notice to drop a class or withdraw completely from the studio may be submitted via e-mail to richard [at] astepintime [dot] net.
MAKE-UP CLASSES
A Student may make up any missed class with a class of similar level with the approval of the instructor. There are no refunds for missed classes.
STUDENT SAFETY
Please instruct your child to remain in the studio lobby while waiting to be picked up. Please do not ask them to wait for you outside the studio. The lobby gets quite crowded when classes let out, so please pick your child up promptly. We are not responsible for students after they have left the premises.
COSTUMES
We will not order your costume until we receive payment. If you are ordering more than 3 costumes you may pay in installments. (See “important dates” at the top of the page.) Any costume not paid for by the due date or for which installments have not been paid will be subject to an additional 25% charge. Those costumes ordered late will be individual orders rather than part of our large, wholesale order. Any costume not paid for by January 1st will not be ordered as our vendors cannot guarantee delivery by our recital date. (except costumes paid for in installments)
LOST AND FOUND
Please put your child’s name or initials on all their dance wear, especially shoes. Recent lost and found items will be stored in the middle storage bench in the lobby for a limited time. Please check regularly as left items will be donated monthly. We will not be held accountable for lost or stolen items.
DRESS CODE
Students are expected to adhere to these guidlines. This is a part of the disipline, tradition and respect associated with dance training.
Repeated non-compliance will result in the student not dancing that day.
We ask for your support and understanding in this policy. It is not an arbitrary policy but one meant to create a better learning environment for all our students.
