Class Descriptions

Pre-School 1, 2 and Kindergarten

We offer age specific classes for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. We do not combine these ages. The learning curve, attention span and development abilities of these ages are vary different. We adjust our teaching methods and material for each child at their stage of development.

School Age Combination

These are 90 minute classes that include ballet, tap and jazz technique. These ages are variable depending on experience and ability but serve as a useful guidline.
-School Age 1 is for the 6-7 year old beginner or the student who has been enrolled in our Kinder class in the fall.
-School Age 2 is for the 7 year old who with previous dance experience
-School Age 3 is for the 8 year old with previous experience.
These ages should be used as a guide based on our syllabus.
-School Age Beginner is for the younger beginner age 7 to 9. This class is an introduction to ballet, tap and jazz and is at a faster pace than School Age 1.

Single Subject Classes

Ballet

- Level 1 (beginning), 2 (elementary), 3 (intermediate), 4 (advanced)

Pointe

- Beginning and Continuing

Jazz

- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. Level 4 is a competition class admission is by audition.

Lyrical / Contemporary

- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. Level 4 is a competition class admission is by audition.

Tap

- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. Level 4 is a competition class admission is by audition

Clogging

- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. Level 4 is a competition class admission is by audition. Pre-requisite: Intro. to clogging offered only in summer.

The above classes, Pre-School 1, Pre-School 2, Kindergarten, School Age Classes and Single Subjects Classes will participate in recital.

Leap and Turn

These classes will not perform in recital. These classes are intended to improve and reinforce jazz, lyrical and contemporary technique.
Intermediate and Advanced
Teen Leap and Turn - for the teenage student with limited experience who wants to improve jazz technique, especially for drill team participation.
